The other day David went with our friend Joe to pick up his (and his wife’s) new rv that he had ordered from a dealership in Ohio. However, Joe did not know at the time that David was going with him. Joe was planning on flying down to Ohio alone, inspecting and learning the new rv, then drive it back home to Rochester, NY. Which by the way is about a 9 hour drive, barring any delays. Crazy right? We thought so to. Not to mention, this was Joe’s first rv.
Before this all they had was a pop up camper. So David bought a plane ticket and surprised Joe at the airport…at 5am mind you.
Boy’s Road Trip! They arrived in Ohio a little late, due to mechanical issues from the previous plane. That always makes you feel good to get on a plane that was late due to mechanical issues. Now I know why I, and everyone else I seem to run into, prefer rving over flying.
Anyway, all went well with the inspection

David and Joe were on the road by… 2pm.
David sat in the passenger side the entire time, letting Joe get used to the rig and it’s new squeaks and rattles.
So when did they make it home?
Well, luck has it that they hit an hour and a half construction/accident zone in Pennsylvania where the traffic was at a dead stop. Traffic didn’t move for so long that David was able to get out and take a few pictures. They did not arrive home until after 11pm!
That was a long day for everyone. Joe managed to (and wanted to) drive the entire time.
He was so comfortable driving it at that point that he even backed it into his driveway between the driveway edge and the minivan without any problem.
All’s well that end’s well!
All in ONE day?!? Crazy is right!!!
PS: Joe is so blessed to be surrounded by nice friends!
What a packed day! That looks like a pretty sweet rig. Hope they enjoy it for a long time.
