As I mentioned in my previous post, Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts is known for the Glacial Pot Holes and the Bridge of Flowers. The Bridge of Flowers is an old trolley bridge that was built in 1908. There are over 500 varieties of flowers over a 400 foot span. The Shelburne Falls Women’s Club is filled with volunteers that maintain the beautiful flowers all season long.
David took some wonderful up close pictures of the flowers. Sorry to say I did not get the names of the flowers. I must say, he does have a very artsy eye for this sort of thing.
I will help you out here:
Flower #1 Clematis
Flower #2 and #3 are Dahlias
What a very neat place you “discovered”!!! Thanks for sharing and for giving me these flowers and the wondrous bridge and falls for my birthday! You know how I adore flowers! I am going to try and capture the photos to come up on my picture frame so I can enjoy them time and time again!
Hugs…
