So this past Memorial weekend, as you have heard already, we went camping with our friends Joe and Lynn and their three kids Amanda, Courtney and Michael. Although it started out with rain and us getting stuck (see previous post), the weekend turned dry and warm.
A good time was had by all.

Then it was Michael’s turn to show off on the bouncy pillow. No helmet cam for him though.
David had to, as they put it, torture the girls by putting his helmet camera on each of them. They then took turns on the bouncy pillow. Although the video didn’t turn out great, it was still fun trying.

Once back at the campsite David got out our stash of Jelly Belly’s. However, these were not your average Jelly Belly’s. These were the special BeanBoozled package. What is a BeanBoozle you ask? Well, these packages are filled with Jelly Belly flavors that are, shall we say, a little unusual. For example, you pick a yellow Jelly Belly and it could be buttered popcorn or rotten egg. A red one could be strawberry jam or it could also be centipede. You never know until you bite down on it.
This was too funny to watch. What was even more amusing was they wanted to keep trying all the colors to see what they tasted like.
Once the evening started winding down, it was nice to just sit back, cook out on the grill and have dinner with everyone at one table.
The next day we had Geocaching in mind.
Everyone Gathered Around The Table, Coming Up With A Plan For Geocaching.
We gathered around the table and plotted our course. The kids enjoy geocaching as much as us adults. What’s not to like?

It get’s us out on trails we would normally not even know were there. Taking us to various state parks and land marks.

And of course we roasted marshmallows and ate smore’s. It just would be a proper camping trip without smore’s.
So it was a nice weekend filled with activities and fun.
And our final breakfast together always seems to be pancakes. It has become a tradition now.
Joe and Lynn had such a long weekend with the kids wanting to do every imaginable activity that was offered, so David was nice enough to cook breakfast for everyone that day.
And Joe was able to sit down and enjoy a hot breakfast!
