Guys, Loki Here…Dis my last post from the Instagrams. Momma and daddy are sad. I’s ok now though. We’s went for a car ride and momma and daddy found out I’s git cancer and it was spread all over inside me. I’s didn’t tell no one though cause I’s don’t like it when momma and daddy are sad. But they are sad anyways. Momma and daddy were with me the whole time and I’s went for a long sleepy. So I’s wiff momma and daddy’s other fur kids now and I’s wait for them on the Rainbow Bridge.

Dad and Mom here: Sadly Loki passed on March 30th, 2026 at only 8 years of age and was totally unexpected. He  helped what to seemed to be a lifetime for David.

It was a long month and a half when Loki first came up limping on his right front.  4 vets said he tore a muscle and it would take a long time to heal.  It turns out he actually had a tumor, one of many, that was under his shoulder and had burst. When he was not getting better and then had blood in his stool, we rushed him right back in.

They found blood in his stomach and did a full body scan which revealed tumors throughout his body. (no one, not one vet, suspected any of this.) Seeing that a tumor had burst inside of his stomach, there was not much more to do. All we could do was fulfill our promise that we had given him when he started working with me/us.  The promise was, “You take care of me and I’ll take care of you when the time may come.”  Promise made, promise kept.  Just way too soon.

We are currently working with our trainer, Dogworx Academy in Texas on a new family companion to help David. Sorry again for such a late post.  Things just are not going our way. You can read about each day of Loki’s life with us on Instagram at @lokibott where he made one post each day.

Thank you all.
