David And Brenda On Top Of Silica Dome At Valley Of Fire State Park
Do you have one?
What do you have?
We would appreciate any thoughts, concerns or suggestions you may have.
Thanks.
David and I are thinking it’s time for a new mattress for the Motorhome. We currently have a generic Temperpedic that’s probably a good 15 years old. So yes, it’s time.
We need one that can fold up, so to speak. In order for our slides in our bedroom to go in, the top part of our bed folds upward, like a Craftmatic. So a regular mattress will not do.
Does anyone out there have any thoughts on a Sleep Number bed? We’re looking at the P7 model. It’s a 2 chamber sleep number bed that has a memory foam topper.

We purchased one but ended up cancelling the order. Too many horror stories about them. The main things I saw were that mold can form in the air chambers, the remote controls wear out quickly and are expensive to replace, and the lining around the edges start going bad after a few years. Also, the matresses can lose air over a short period of time cuasing issues with keeping them inflated.
All I can tell you is buyer beware. You might want to Google a bit before making a final decision.
We have the Temperpedic type mattress that we purchased at Costco. Good Luck in your search. We are at the FMCA Indio Rally with the Sierra Ramblers, was looking forward to seeing you two again, perhaps next year. Safe Travels!!
Thanks Chris. We did do that and we did end up cancelling the order.
Wayne…WE are at CES this year, the expo and the electronics show overlapped this year.
Hmmmm, we have a sleep comfort king size and totally love it! We have had it for about three years now, with a temporpedic topper on it. We bought it off of Craigs List, so it was used and in perfect shape, so we were lucky to be the first to respond. We have had no problem with the air chambers or the remote. My hubby and I use it every night, along with our pack of dogs, and it has held up great! We even have a heated mattress pad on it with no problem. If or when this one dies, we will be getting another one. So that is my two cents! Maybe we just lucked out….or maybe they don’t make them like they used to?
Hugs…..
