So one great thing you can look to do this coming new year is replace your outside driving lights with LED versions if you currently have standard bulbs. This greatly adds to the visibility during the daytime as well as enhancing the night time for sure! I did all of ours when I had one running light bulb go out. I said why stick with the old, so I set out looking for new LED versions I needed.
This was not as easy as I thought however as I needed to figure out the bulbs and hunt down LED replacements. I then found out in reading reviews etc that all LED’s are not created equal. I already knew that however from dealing with normal strip LED’s…But did not give much thought about it with ones made for driving!
So below is the video I did showing the replacement and also the before and after.
Bulbs used in our 2014 Tiffin Allegro Bus motorhome are as follows…
(2014, 2015 and 2016 Allegro Buses should be the the same. Not sure on 2017+ as they may already be LED.)
NOTE: 4 Bulbs are Needed of Each! 2 per side. Note Quantity Per Package!!!

Now I need these for my coach David. I’m still saving up for the Simple Chuck LOL
I’ve been wanting to change mine for some time but wasn’t sure which ones I needed. Thanks for doing the research for us.
How about headlights and fog lights
The fog lights are all in one units so that is kind of out to find ones. The headlights have an issue with the heatsinks being to big to fit the housing.
Usually when changing incandescent bulbs out for LEDs you’ll get a “fast/rapid blink”. Did you have to add the resistors to stop that or, do these new bulbs not need them?
These did not need them.
Well I tried. I did the research and bought the bulbs, mine are 3157, and the LED’s wouldn’t lock into the sockets I have on my Tiffin 2014 RED. I tried other LED’s and none would seat. The small white ones would seat so I may have to try them in RED. I hope I then don’t have to buy the resistors. We will see, I like the idea anyway.
