So as you know we are at the FMCA Rally in Indianapolis, Indiana.
When we made our way here, it was devastating to pass by the corn fields and see nothing but dead corn stalks.
All the yellow that you see in that picture is dead corn stalks. And this was field after field after field of them.
So sad.
David’s been having fun flying his quadcopter around. He always seems to get an audience whenever he takes flight. It’s interesting that the usual onlookers are the police officers around the rally grounds.
Chuck Woodbury from RVTravel posted a picture that David took and posted it up on their facebook page. He was even interviewed by Mike Wendland of Roadtreking.com and NBC News.
We, of course, have been shopping the vendor area. Bought things we needed and things we just thought were cool. We’ve managed to stay out of the new coach area, by design. Theirs always something new and improved that would be cool, but we’re happy with our coach. No need to tempt ourselves with the shiny new rigs.
The days are also filled with seminars. We haven’t been to any, sorry to say. We’re just to busy enjoying the vendor area and chatting with friends. It’s easy to lose track of time here. So much to see and do.
We did manage to get the quadcopter out last night for the sunset over the rigs.
The Beautiful Sunset Over The Infield
That’s it for now. We’re headed out for the day of more shopping and flying the copter.
I’m sure we’ll get some great shots again. David is getting really good at flying it. Remember, he only started flying this on August 6th! I believe he’s come a long way with the accuracy in which he’s flying.
Not to mention, we’re having lots of fun too. Which in my opinion, is all that matters.
Life’s too short not to have fun!
And we made the NBC news…Even though Mike did mess up some of the information. Like my wife is Brenda…not Debra. I can also fly 1/2 to 3/4 mile away. But it was fun and Mike was really excited, so his notes were a little off. :) (So if you see Brenda…call her Debra…I have. ;))
Thanks, I love to hear about your adventures. :)
