We made our way to Pacifica, CA using some back roads as well as highways. The trip was uneventful however the views were beautiful. Our friends told us to travel Route 46, from Highway 1 to Interstate 101. So off we went.
What a view! Outside our window we had full vistas of the rolling California hillsides that traveled all the way to the ocean. The sun filled, blue sky day really helped bring it all together.
If you enlarge the picture you still can not grasp how magnificent the countryside was. Their were more small to medium wineries on this one route than any we have seen. Sorry to say I did not get any pictures of them.
Plus I shot all these pictures while David drove at 55 MPH!
Once we reached Pacifica, our home base for the San Francisco area, we set up and relaxed.
Or should I say I relaxed and David got on the phone to finish off some business. But that is our life on the road. A little relaxation with business mixed in.
We have a great spot in the rv resort with wonderful views. The sunsets could not be more spectacular.
This is not our first trip to San Francisco. We have friends here and business here. So our days and evening will be filled with activity. With busy days ahead of us, I could think of worse places to be.
Wowee…so awe inspiring! So beautiful this country is! Thanks for sharing!
Hugs…
