Well…the time has come.
A new day has started and we may be leaving this place called Red Bay, Alabama. (Aka, Tiffin Land)
Cleaning Crew Finishing Up
Yesterday the cleaning crew finished up prepping the coach for delivery.
It was nice to get the factory dirt out of the coach for once.
Their were a couple windows that had scratches on the outside of them. So the time had come to replace the glass part of the window. Now, no more scratches.
Since they replaced some of the window glass they wanted to send the coach once again through the rain booth to make sure they were sealed tight. So once our coach got over to the Belmont, Mississippi plant where they do that, we went around and said our good-byes.
Luke, whom had buffed out a bunch of areas on the coach that needed attention, surprised us with his shirt. His shirt says, “It’ll Buff Out”.
You see, that’s been an ongoing joke with us because every time we had mentioned something that wasn’t quite right and needed attention, inside or out, the answer always came back as, “It’ll Buff Out”. We joked we were going to get T-Shirts made. So what a surprise from Luke who was all to happy to see us so he could show us his new t-shirt.
Thanks Luke for putting a smile on our faces! Even though the saying kinda means that something did not go just as it should have. :)
I must say though, that seems to be most of the people at Tiffin’s attitude. They want to please the customer and make them smile and happy. I think it’s also a southern thing.
So hopefully, if all goes well with the rain test in the morning and then we should be seeing this out our windshield as we follow it down the road to Davis Motor Homes in Memphis, TN.
Stay tuned for a time lapse video, hopefully, of the trip to Davis Motorhome as we follow along our coach to be delivered to us. Subscribe to our Twitter feed to receive updates as we tweet on the way and offer thoughts about this experience.
Time Lapse Video of the final cleanups and detailing…
Hope the rain test goes well so you can be on your way!! Exciting times ahead enjoying your new coach, it’s a beauty!
Cool! Congrats and safe travels.

Congrats guys! I looks like the second nicest 45LP built ! LOL It looks terrific. Showing the colors and then the sunset right after it drove home the “solar storm” aspect of it. Why’d you decide to get the dishwasher? You gonna store your dishes in it like Irene does, or actually use it for its intended purpose?
Exciting to think you will finally move into your new home! It will be nice to see something different on the Live Cam! I am happy for yas!
Love and hugs….
Congrats! Soon you will be singing On The Road Again! The big question I have is did they install your Star Trek horn yet? :) Happy Motoring!
LOL! I am sorry to say no. The new coach has little room in the front area and the horn requires space for 6 tuned air horns and a small compressor. I am still looking for how to add them!
Yay!!! I’m so excited that you’re this close – you must be bursting with anticipation. Any idea yet if you’ll make it to Perry?
We wish! We do not think we would be able to get their in time based on having to move in and even still buy the coach. We were SO CLOSE to being able to do it and we are kind of bummed to say the least. But we will how it plays out as I am hoping we can do the move in this weekend.
