HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Today is a day to give thanks.  We are thankful for our family and friends.  For our health, minus our colds we are getting over.  But we are thankful that we are getting over them.  For our kitties sleeping the day away.  For Tasha, after 14 1/2 years, still being with us and smiling.  For our fireplace that keeps us warm.  For the Chinese take out that’s open today.  For the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.  For Football this afternoon.  For not having to get out of our pajamas.

Yup, you heard us right.  No turkey for us today.  We don’t want to get anyone sick, so we are home.  Our local Chinese delivery restaurant is open, so we’ll be ordering that later.

No need to feel sorry for us.  We do have turkey today.  Just in a slightly different way.  Outside our window.  I guess they are celebrating that they have another year too.

However, they are not the smartest bird, that’s for sure.  They walk up to our basement window and peck at it.  They see their reflection and think it’s another turkey, so they start fighting.  All they accomplish is getting our window dirty.

So enjoy your Thanksgiving and know that their is much to be thankful for.
