First Official Day Of Winter And It’s 78 Degrees At 5:21 At Night Here In Longview, TX

As I sit here in my shorts and t-shirt, I’m thinking about the 20 degrees it is back home in Rochester, NY.  No, I’m not trying to rub it in.  I’m just happy that we finally found the warmer weather.  I know it won’t stay like this.  The temp is supposed to dip down in the 50’s again.  But you know what, that is perfectly fine with me. I’ll take it.

We’re just passing through on our way to Granbury, TX.  Which we will arrive at tomorrow.  I found this wonderful, brand new rv park in Longview, TX called Fernbrook RV Park.  Brand new in the sense that they just opened in May of this year.  We’re only passing through for one night, but what a place.  Nice level concrete pads.  Not bad room between people.  Grass!  And they take the Passport America discount, so it only cost us $15 for FHU (full hook-ups)!  We would definitely stay longer if we didn’t have plans already in Granbury.

So we just wanted to keep everyone up to date on where we are.  We left Meridian, MS on Monday after the repairs were done, with no issues I might add.

I personally did not think we’d get a full day of driving in, but we did.  We were there at 7:30am and they had us done and out of there by 11:30am or so.  Nice.

We only like to drive 4 hours in a day, so we were still able to make it to a stop over point in Louisiana, then here to Longview.

So enjoy your official first day of winter. We hope you are at least someplace warm.

So from us here in Texas, have a good night!
