We’re working on it. Getting the kitties used to the rv before we take off this Thursday for Louisville, KY. As David says we’re throwing caution to the wind and living dangerously. So far, once they settle down they seem ok. No one has started a fight or anything. Going from a 3000 sq ft house to a 42 ft motorhome will be an adjustment for everyone involved.
In our home we don’t let the kitties into our bedroom at night, while we are sleeping. Just the dog comes in. So we’re expecting the first few nights in the rv to be sleepless. We can’t shut the rv bedroom door to the kitties for a few reasons. Tasha needs to get up and get water, which is in the kitchen.
Second, one of the two litter boxes is in the back bathroom, through the bedroom. We also expect the kitties will want to be on the bed with us. Hopefully not all night.
I’ve also placed pee pads everywhere and covered our new loveseat in a waterproof mattress pad cover that I had. I feel we can not be to cautious. I’m fearful the someone in the middle of the night will not want to go to the litter box because they are scared of there surroundings. David is fearful that in the middle of the night there will be a cat fight on our bed. Either is a possibility. Cross your fingers that neither happens.
We’ll keep you up to date on our progress. We are hopefully optimistic, but we are trying not to fool ourselves and be ready for every scenario.
