First we had to get suited up and get a quick safety talk.
Marble Mountain Resort is located just a hop, skip and a jump north of Corner Brook, Newfoundland. They are a ski resort that offers several different runs in the winter months. However, throughout the year they have ATV tours, hiking trails and our favorite, Zip Lines!
Once we saw they had zip lines we knew we had to go. Our friends Curtis and Gladys wanted to burst outside their bubble and try zip lines for the first time, so they joined us for this adventure.
Boy, did they have a blast!
All The Gear Getting Prepped For Our Adventure
David, of course, had thought ahead and brought his GoPro camera. He strapped it to his helmet and got some great footage of all of us zip lining through Marble Mountain. The video is at the end of this post.
David was getting anxious to go. Curtis and Gladys were too excited to contain themselves. They were ready!
So off we went!
Marble Zip Tours at Marble Mountain has the distinction of having the longest and highest zip line in all of Canada.
It was awesome! The zip lines actually run back and forth across a long, deep ravine that has a beautiful waterfall. The highest line is over 285 feet from the ravine floor!
Zip Line At Marble Mountain
The longest line is over 1300 feet! Some of the lighter weight kids were stopping before they reached the platform. The guides had to then zip out to the kids and pull them back. They were laughing the whole time.
We all had a wonderful day zipping on Marble Mountain. We had beautiful weather, as you can see. The guides couldn’t have been better. Safety is their number one concern next to fun. They joked around with us and we all had a blast!
A View From The Zip Lines Of Marble Mountain
But watch out for that last zip line. It’s the fastest one yet! They just installed that 9th line this year. So the guides are having fun with it. You’ll see what I mean when you watch the video.
Fun had by all!
WOW, you two are having such a great time. Thanks for sharing the video it sure looked like fun (something I would love to do but have been to chicken).
We just spent the weekend with the Sierra Ramblers in Verdi NV. Had a good time visiting with Bob & Trish Close and Bob & Pat Beitler. Hopefully we will see you in Indio in January.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!!
Yes, I must say, we are having a good time. That’s what life’s all about after all. Glad to see you all had a good time in NV.
Not sure what the winter brings for us and if we’ll be traveling or not. We’ll see.
