Well, it’s time for us to leave Pacifica, CA. We were here a week and that is enough for us. Not that we don’t like it here. We do. It’s just the crowded roads into and out of San Francisco are crazy insane.
Luckily we have a good friend here that lives in the city and is used to the traffic. He’s willing to drive us around so we don’t have to. Thanks Ray!
We went to my favorite dinner spot, Firenze By Night Ristorante. The absolute best gnocchi around!

We walked China Town. Which we’ve done before. But no matter how many times you walk China Town, you will always see new and exciting things. And yes, the roads are that tight and narrow. And not just in China Town but everywhere in San Francisco.

And this is the only place I’ve seen where they have painted sayings on the parking spots, in the garages. Interesting to say the least.
We went up the infamous Highway 1 to have dinner with another friend. Highway 1 is so diverse you never know what you’re going to see around the corner. You are traveling along the coastline one minute while the next you are going through a forested area.

Here is a very interesting house we saw on Highway 1. I think the erosion of the coast has gotten the better of it. What do you think?

But think of the beautiful view it has. And with no neighbors it would be really quiet. Nice.
When we got to the restaurant we noticed it was right on the ocean. So we sat and enjoyed the view while we waited for our friend to arrive.

Then we noticed this path on a hill. So we went exploring.
We’ve said this before, but our rv park that we are staying at has some wonderful views. It is situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Pacifica itself is having trouble with the tides washing away and eroding the shoreline. The rv park seems ok for now. It’s more down the street at some apartment buildings that seem to be almost falling off the cliff. Last year when we were here, we watched trucks and cranes move giant boulders on the beach to try an help with erosion. It didn’t seem to work as this year the apartment buildings down the street are not habitable due to their precarious nature on the cliffside.

And I had to include this sign for you fellow rvers. This is a sign you never want to see in your travels. At least not while you are driving your rig.

It’s not fun going down a 6 or 7 degree down grade, which you find on some highways. I can’t even imagine trying to attempt this one. Maybe if we were in a Jeep it would be fun. Then again, maybe not.
By the way, their were houses on this road. Crazy!
Next we are going to head north to Oregon. We’ve never been there before and their is a company there that has something David wants installed on the MH. So off we go, in the cold, through some mountains, to Oregon. This should be interesting, but beautiful. Besides, it’s not like we haven’t been through areas with snow before. Looking at the forecast it doesn’t look that bad.
