Saturday we spend the day at the Buffalo Zoo.
It’s a nice zoo. Larger than our zoo in Rochester.
Peacock At The Zoo
It was just my friend Lynn, the kids and me. One of Lynn’s friends who lives in the area met us their too.
It was an overcast sky, thank goodness, because it was a warm day. In the 80’s.
I have mixed feelings about the zoo.
I understand their purpose and their mission in preserving and educating about endangered species.
On that front, it is a wonderful place.
On the other hand, I get very sad seeing these animals in captivity. In their little enclosures. Not being able to roam free.
I enjoy the big cats. I always have.
They are so majestic. You can almost see the Tiger’s thoughts and trying to figure out if he can jump that moat to get to the people.
Snow Leopard
The Buffalo Zoo has an interesting exhibit.
They have rainforest. And with it, of course, animals that live in a rainforest.
It was a good day had by all at the zoo.
Back at the campground, their was another campfire.
More stories.
Popcorn cooked over the fire this time.
More tomorrow.
