“Hey, It’s all good – Please don’t worry!” is what we would think that Angel would be saying to us. Angel passed away this morning, 8/17/2013. She was 16. Her name surely fit in more ways than one.
We helped Angel a long time back by adopting her right from the vet were she was staying in their care due to her owner needing to go into a care facility. She was in their care for 6 months when we had found her with no “End of Stay” date on her cage tag. When we inquired, we
would told the story and we needed to act. We received permission to bring Angel home with us to stay vs staying at all the time at the vets and in the boarding area she was in.
Right from the start she became one of the family. The boys, Whisper and BK, never bothered her and Tory, well, was Tory. (She kind of keeps to herself.) But Angel got along with everyone. She was not only a talker, but liked to lick. As such, no matter who you were, if you came over to visit, you fell in love with her. We surely think she was very happy to be with us and that she knew, no matter what, she had the good life. She was never one to complain, unless she thought it was time for dinner and we were being slow, but other than that, she was always just the purrrrrrr monster, always showing her love and happiness.
We are not sure 100% of what was the cause of passing, we did know she had asthma and we were helping that with depo shots with the last one being given about 4 days ago. It did not seem this time however to have much affect. She passed away in Brenda’s lap as we were bringing her into the vets this morning.
So Angel, thank you for adding joy and laughter to our home. You were always there to try to make us smile or to make us feel better with your purrrr of love and happiness. You were always there to be sure we knew it was dinner time. And you surely were always their to let us know when it was time to get up. Thanks for also telling us when it was time to stop working and just relax. (By just laying on our keyboard or just laying on top of our work.) You will be missed by not only us, but the others who’s lives you have touched with your kind and gentle, always lady like ways. You might have been the smallest, at 7 lbs, but you had one big, ever loving, heart. Thank you for being part of our life. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. You will be missed.
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your Angel. We lost our Pepper and Purrcey (he had such a loud purr!) within 3 months of each other and miss them still.
Joanne and I are so sorry for the loss. Angel was always the one to greet us when we came to visit. Sweet cat.
God Bless Angel she is Beautiful….a special place in Heaven exists for all these special wonderful family members that we are so fortunate to have if even for a short time…..
mike and Kathy are so sorry to hear about angel. we have 9 cats all together. are one cat had 3 kittens. than we were siting outside the other day and a boy on a bike gave us another kitten. he is very playful and he gets along with all of the other cats. Angel in a better place now. I’ll pray for you and your wife. God Bless.
So sorry to hear of Angel’s passing on to Kitty Heaven. We know going in that the day of pain will come, but that is part of accepting a new family member.
Everything considered, we are always blessed with their unconditional love, and accept the days of sorrow as part of the deal. We have never said, “no more pets”.
Warmest regards to you both,
Hoover and Mitzi’s Dad
It is so hard to lose one of our furry family members! You rescued Angel when she needed to be and you gave her a happy loving home. Our thoughts are with you!
It’s always hard to tell if we rescue, or are if fact, rescued ourselves. I’m sure Angel lives on in your hearts. My sincere sympathies on your loss. Sending you lots of virtual hugs!
We are so sorry to hear about Angel. We are hugging you with prayers.
Thanks all
Oh, gosh, I’m so, so sorry. You guys can’t seem to catch a break lately. We had to put our last cat to sleep just a month before we left on this trip. It sucks, doesn’t it? It does help a little to have other little fur babies around to keep you company, but gosh it’s no fun when they come to the end of their sweet little lives. She sounds like she was a really sweet cat.
So sorry, Angel was a beauty and sounds like she bought much joy to your household.
So sorry to see this guys. Lisa and I are thinking of you both.
So sorry for your loss. We had a similar colored cat pass away from leukemia about 4 years ago, and it was difficult. When I would stand next to him, he would jump all the way to my chest and I would catch him.
Thank you all again. It has not only been a hard month of disappointments, but now we have lost the one that ALWAYS told us things would be fine. She was always their for us, always loving. Nothing ever bothered her it seems as she always seemed to just say…hey, it’s all good. We so miss her.
So sorry to hear about Angel, guys. But also so glad to read that the copter was found! Happy dance there.
